My father, an elderly vulnerable pensioner, was defrauded out of his life savings by Builders GB. My father contracted Builders GB to complete a loft conversion which Builders GB abandoned, leaving his home in an uninhabitable damaged state in the middle of winter with half a roof and water pouring in through the house. Builders GB created a complicated situation which put my father in a vulnerable state where he felt forced to make payments for work that was never or negligently done.
We had to employ a secondary building firm at a huge cost to restart the build from scratch because what little was done by Builders GB didn't pass building regulations. My father's health suffered immeasurably; he has not recovered from this and absolutely regrets contracting Builders GB in the first place. Our efforts to engage with Builders GB since have been futile. Builders GB has never been listed at the address shown on the advertised listing.
